COMPANY PROFILE
HISTORY AND VALUES

1945

It was1945, short after the Second World War end, as Giulio and Adriano Iozzelli, father and son, opened a small mechanical workshop in Pistoia's medieval historic centre, whose core business was to manufacture meat processing machinery. Giulio could eventually express his great technical and creative skills, which he had already shown working as a foreman in a brickyard before war outbreak. The first customers were butcher's shops and small meat processors.

1950s

The resurgence and reconstruction of the country on the ruins of the war also entailed a remarkable demand of machinery needed to industrialise many production processes. The food industry was also involved in this. Giulio and Adriano strived to manufacture machines which could meet such industrial goals and needs. Even the workshop in the historic centre of Pistoia had become too small, therefore the company built a larger plant in Pistoia's Vicofaro neighbourhood.

1960s

During the 60s Iozzelli aimed to further expand its machinery range, offering complete solutions suited to satisfy the requirements of meat processing for sausage production. In this decade the first model of continuous vacuum stuffer for Mortadella was manufactured: the  ICONT-V2-X , which represented a perfect solution to the most common issues related to Mortadella stuffing process.

1970s

During the 70s Iozzelli was committed to manufacture increasingly bigger mixers in order to meet the production demand which was especially coming from overseas. In this time innovative machines, such as the versatile Julius, named after Giulio Iozzelli himself, were manufactured. Besides, the frozen blocks grinder Crush Blocks as well as the the exclusive bronze gears and screw transmission, which still characterises Iozzelli mixers, were also first patented.

1980s

During the 80s an ever-increasing production demand allowed Iozzelli to purchase a large plot for the construction of a new 12.000 square metre plant loacated in Pistoia's Sant'Agostino industrial and business park.

In its new and still current headquarters Iozzelli started manufacturing small and medium capacity bottom discharge mixers.

New electronic portioning devices were also designed, tested and fitted on mixers, mixer-grinders and stuffers. Compact series grinders as well as blenders were also included in the product range.

1990s

Iozzelli completes his machinery range for small and medium meat and food processors offering rational and reliable solutions, still featuring the same mechanical solidness and durability as large machines. Vacuum and CO2 execution equipment for mixers and blenders were also designed and offered, thus widening their range.

THE NEW MILLENNIUM

In the early 2000s Iozzelli launced its smaller version of mixer-grinder. Besides, side discharge mixers equipped with offset mixing tank and computer controlled continuous vacuum stuffer are also included in the product range.

TODAY

Today Iozzelli keeps on researching and developing updated, reliable and efficient solutions for meat and food processing thanks to its long-lasting tradition and know-how gained as a machinery manufacturer.
